Sore Throat

Most sore throats are viral. Strep throat (bacterial) requires a prescription antibiotic — ask our pharmacist.

When to See a Doctor

Get tested for strep if sore throat is severe, accompanied by high fever, swollen glands, or white patches. Strep requires antibiotics.
