Helpful Tips
- Increase water intake to at least 8 glasses daily
- Add fiber gradually to avoid gas and bloating
- Walk 20–30 minutes daily — movement stimulates bowels
- Never use stimulant laxatives more than once a week
When to See a Doctor
See a doctor for constipation lasting more than 3 weeks, blood in stool, significant pain, unexplained weight loss, or alternating constipation and diarrhea.
